Competition is open for submission from 1st Sept to 13th Sept' 2008 via mail to Darul Makmur Mosque 950 Yishun Avenue 2, Singapore (769099).
A short-listed entries will be exhibited at the Sultan mosque during the prize giving day, 20th Sept' 2008.
Rules and Regulation:
- There are 3 Themes for the competition: Endurance | Giving | Triumph
Each participant may submit 1 image at an entry fee of SGD$2. The participant has to choose either 1 of the given theme. This competition is open to 25 years of age and below. - Works shall be original and unpublished. The participants must be the original author.
Entries will be judged based on originality, creativity, relevance to the subject matters and photographic techniques. - Entries which incorporates healthy lifestlye i.e Smoke-free, Sports Activities will get a mystery prize.
The organizers reserved the right to disqualify all entries that do not adhere to the rules and regulations. These include entries submitted with incomplete, invalid, as well as any re-used entry that has been awarded prizes in other photography competitions.
Photo submissions that are deemed offensive and/or inappropriate not to be considered for the contest and will be screened out at the sole discretion of the judge. Decisions by the judges are final. No correspondence pertaining to the selection process will be entertained. All entries must be submitted on 8R or S8R with a description of not more than 30 words. A softcopy of the original, unedited image is to be burned in optical data digital media format (CD, DVD, etc) and mail to Darul Makmur Mosque 950 Yishun Avenue 2, Singapore (769099). - Manipulation of digital images prior to developing is subject to restrictions. Minimal digital manipulation such as enhancement of colour and contrast of entered works is allowed including sepia, or black and white. The original structure of the image must not be altered.
- Only single frames images will be accepted. Composite photographs and multiple exposures will be disqualified.
- While the organizers exercise due care during the collection, selection and storage of images, it shall not held liable for any loss, theft or destruction of the images.
- Each entry must be accompanied by an entry form.
- Participants must ensure that they have obtained model release from any person/s featured in the entries allowing publication and use of the works in accordance with the copyright terms and condition herein to be used by the organizers.
- The terms and conditions above are subject to change and/or supplement by the organizers at any time during the competition period as and when the organizers seem fit. The organizers assumes no liability whatsoever for the outcome as a result of such action.
